The day started out quick with some detail shots of the rings and special mementos. We then moved right into first looks with bridesmaids, mom, and dad. It was a very quick and sweet morning.
The church and the wedding ceremony followed at noon. Loved ones travelled up from the Montgomery area to get to be a part of this stunning Catholic Ceremony in this beautiful and elegant church. After the God-filled ceremony, we quickly snapped some indoor shots at the stained glass windows but had to move out quickly as the church serves many people on the weekend and had a mass starting in 2 hours.
We then flowed right into family photos, bridal party portraits, and photos of just the bride and groom. With the insane heat and humidity we tried to move through these as quick as possible. Luckily there was a lovely little courtyard that was shaded beside the church that made for these breathtaking portraits.
After portraits, we had an hour drive to the venue, La Herradura in Jemson, AL. The drive meant a quick snack & coffee break and some A/C blasting. We arrived at the reception and the party got rolling (and what a PARTY it was!) The reception included a mariachi band during dinner, followed by another band to keep the reception going, cold sparks, a dulce de leche wedding cake, a stunning first dance, a dollar dance, a bouquet & garter toss, delicious treats, and so much fun dancing. What a treat to get to be a part of this celebration.
