Meet Mary Harbin

Tuscaloosa Wedding Photographer

I've always had a love for photography but I also love math and analytics. I started an engineering career in 2014 that I never intended to quit. I wanted a 30+ year career, filled with ambition and promotion; photography was "just a side-hobby". As life has flown by, I became less enchanted with the corporate ladder and more focused on what actually mattered: my people, being present with my daughter, and documenting life.

If you're worried I'm the stereotypical anti-social engineer - I'm not. I'm a little nerdy, sure, but I love being social. That analytical side? I use it in my photography business every day. It actually makes me more creative because I have structure and organization so I can relax and create. I'm not a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants artist. I want your wedding photography experience to be filled with complete clarity and warm connection.

I really care about the people in my life and when you work with me, you become one of them. You're not just hiring someone to take pictures, you're inviting someone who genuinely cares about preserving your memories & milestones.

Whether you're celebrating your marriage or simply soaking in a fleeting season of life, I want to be there telling your story.

My approach

I blend emotion and elegance with thoughtfully composed shots that still feel natural. I use the glass in my hand to tell your story so you can hold onto it forever with images that are truly timeless.

I tend to be a more serious & analytical person. Art & creativity is a form of expression that allows me to truly feel. Its an honor and a privilege to bring you into this creative space we build. I aim for a balance of the photos you need and the photos you want.

I promise to bring a calm, organized, & thoughtful presence to each and every session, helping you feel at ease in front of the camera, but while also allowing natural moments to unfold.
