Jesse & Mary's 30th Anniversary Vow Renewal at Macedonia United Methodist Church
When Mary reached out to me in December about celebrating her and Jesse's 30th wedding anniversary, she had a clear vision. Five years earlier, they had renewed their vows on the beach and loved having an all-in-one experience that included the ceremony, photography, video, and keepsakes. Since there wasn't really an equivalent offering in the Tuscaloosa area, we decided to create one.
After considering several locations, I visited Macedonia United Methodist Church in Northport and sent Mary photos of the property overlooking Lake Tuscaloosa. She loved the setting and chose it for their renewal. Also they booked their former pastor, who lived in the area, making the ceremony even more meaningful. We originally planned for Valentine's Day since February is their anniversary month, but a rainy forecast and illness in the family forced us to postpone. March 1st ended up being the only date that worked for everyone involved, and it turned out beautifully.
The ceremony itself was intimate and heartfelt, with Jesse and Mary renewing their vows overlooking Lake Tuscaloosa. Afterward, we spent time exploring the property for portraits and family photos with their two adult sons. We even wrapped up the afternoon with bubble guns, which made for some fun and unexpected images.
Their final collection included photography, drone footage, a highlight video, and an heirloom album. What a meaningful way to celebrate 30 years of marriage and preserve the memories for years to come.
