Kaleb Pettis // College of Engineering // Graduate Photography Session


I photographed Kaleb’s engagement session earlier this year, so it was such an honor when he reached back out for his University of Alabama graduation photos.


Before the session, we talked about what had shaped his college experience. While Alabama football is a huge part of campus life for many students, Kaleb’s time at UA was much more centered around his journey through the College of Engineering. Because of that, we designed his session around the places that actually meant something to him.


We started with a few classic University of Alabama graduation photos at Denny Chimes and the steps of Gorgas Library before making our way through Woods Quad. From there, we headed to Hardaway Hall and finished the afternoon around the Engineering Quad and Shelby Hall. As a University of Alabama mechanical engineering alumnus myself, it was a step down memory lane to be back on the engineering corner of campus. It was such a gorgeous afternoon on campus, and I loved being able to document Kaleb’s graduation in a way that felt personal to his experience at the University of Alabama.
