Downtown Demopolis Engagement Session // Grant & Abbey Grace


Abbey Grace and Grant’s downtown Demopolis engagement session was extra special to photograph because these two are such dear friends of ours. AG lived with me for several months during her internship and first season working at the paper mill, so I’ve had the privilege of watching this chapter of her life unfold from the beginning. They are truly the sweetest souls and so clearly meant for each other.


Their story actually started through a family they are both close to. This family would host game nights and intentionally invite both of them, hoping something might spark between the two. Once they finally gave in to their feelings for each other, they quickly became inseparable. The rest is history. Grant proposed in downtown Demopolis and the two had their very first date there, so it only made sense for their engagement photos to take place there too.


We spent the session in downtown Demopolis, soaking up the prettiest afternoon light while keeping the session relaxed, fun, and true to them. As a Tuscaloosa wedding photographer, I always tell couples that the best engagement session locations are the ones that actually mean something to you. Whether that is a downtown area, family land, or your favorite coffee shop, choosing a location tied to your story always makes your photos feel more personal.


Abbey Grace and Grant’s session was simple in the best way. It was quick, sweet, joy-filled, and full of genuine moments together. Those are among my favorite kinds of engagement sessions to photograph
