Mimosa Ridge, Livingston, AL
Tyler + Taylor
Tyler and Taylor's wedding at Mimosa Ridge was absolutely beautiful. The day was overcast with rain threatening, but it held off. Mimosa Ridge is an all-inclusive wedding venue that sits on the scenic bluffs of the Tombigbee River in West Alabama and offers on-site cabins where guests can stay for the wedding weekend. This meant the party could keep going safely without anyone driving home - such a smart move for a wedding venue. The great thing about this venue is bride and groom only needed to book a DJ + this Tuscaloosa wedding photographer.
The morning started with getting ready photos at the main cabin. Taylor is incredibly sentimental and had so many special touches throughout the day - personalized gifts for her bridal party, meaningful details, and first looks with her family, bridesmaids, as well as Tyler. The getting ready process ran about an hour behind schedule, but this is something I always prepare for. No Alabama wedding goes perfectly on time, and we caught back up by the end of family portraits.
The ceremony took place in front of the newly built Chateau, which has a gorgeous European-inspired look. The Chateau wasn't fully finished yet, so the reception happened on the balcony rather than in the ballroom. The ceremony was sweet and funny - Tyler and Taylor shook hands for their first kiss, which got a huge laugh. They retreated for a private dinner before rejoining everyone for the reception, and the DJ kept the party going all night.
