Matt & Casey’s Wedding at Cypress Inn Pavilion | Tuscaloosa, Alabama


Matt & Casey originally planned to get married in Matt’s home state of Maryland, but somewhere along the way, their wedding plans brought them to Tuscaloosa, Alabama instead. They chose Cypress Inn Pavilion, overlooking the Black Warrior River, as the setting for their wedding day. We started the morning getting ready at Casey’s parents’ home, where we also captured their first looks. From there, we headed to Cypress Inn Pavilion for couples portraits, wedding party photos, and family portraits before the ceremony and reception.


The pavilion was beautifully decorated with greenery, shades of purple, and so many thoughtful personal touches. One of my favorite details was the handwritten letters Matt and Casey wrote to each of their guests to read when they arrived at the reception. If that doesn't tell you how much these two love their people, I don't know what does! And once the formalities were over, the dance floor came alive! Matt’s military friends made sure the party kept going all night long.


It was such a wonderful Tuscaloosa wedding day, filled with genuine love, thoughtful details, and one lively celebration on the Black Warrior River.
